Relax. Depends on who says it and the context. If I'm in the midst of a disagreement, can be interpreted as a dismissal of my position. If it's from a friend, someone who cares about me, it can be a wake-up call.

In your case, it obviously was intended and received positively. Kudos to you for being able to see that and to respond well.
