A few weeks back I bought this set of felt tip markers to try them out! This was way before the lockdown btw! I bought them at a store called the Aldi! While you might think that the Aldi is a cheap store, these pens were not that cheap. I paid 5 euro for this set! That's also not expensive either btw but just a tad more then the really cheap sets you can buy out there! Anywho, they looked amazing and screamed my name, so I took them home. Funny enough, I did not use them until last night!
I found my sketchbook and when I looked to the right, I saw these markers and chuckled. Time to give them a try. I am happy and not happy! With the green you see spots! I don't like to see spots! With spots I mean that you see that I went over the same spot twice and the color becomes darker. Perhaps its the fact that I love to work with inkts like ecoline where that stuff never happens! BUT, so far it only happend with one color. The other colors I used were okays. Kinda bright in a way as well, which I like. The black... Hmmm not 100% sure. It did go over the other colors well and that is something I liked. BUT, I don't think it's black enough. In fact, I do think these pens don't hold enough pigment for my style of work seeing that I sometimes need to color big parts. These markers have double points, a brush tip and a fineliner. I noticed that the fineliners don't really work that well. For kids and normal coloring in colorbooks I think these pens are good enough! If you want to create a tad more, I would advice not to use these! Or mix them up!
I am going to try a few more drawings with them. Just because I want to test all the colors. I must say that I like my drawing, I always had a thing with eyes! LOL.
Here are the progress pictures of the eye thingy!
