I stumbled upon this image of a woman in black when I was searching for an image to match the content I publish here and it caught my attention and then I thought to myself why not make a poem about this mysterious woman in black and this is how this poem was born.

its like she is having so much fun
standing in front of an orange sun

its like she has some secrets to tell me
something mysterious in her eyes to see

maybe she is a lier or maybe she is a thief
not looking me in the eye, hiding in relief

maybe she is a gangster or member of a mob
or maybe she is a model always ready to shop

I'll never know what ails her or what breaks her
I'll never know what sooth her or what keeps her

I'll never know someone from a photograph
I'll reach judgments that are done in half

the woman in black will remain a mystery
I can't count my observations as a victory
