Hello steemit world!
Today my dog was picked up by animal control. I have a few questions about my legal rights to fight this given the situation in which he was taken.
I am out of town right now, but my family was there and had explained everything to me over the phone. I will be back in town tomorrow.
So here are the facts.
I live in North Dakota, in an apartment complex. My family manages the property. Animal control has been known to target my dog, but being the clever butthead he is he always seems to get away just in time. Today they had pulled into the complex and were loading up the tranq gun when my mother noticed she asked them to wait while she went and got my brother to just load him up without a fight so they would not tranq him. They agreed so he came down and loaded him up. I will be going in to "bail him out"
My main question is with the property managers permission is it legal for them to come onto our private property to get him if he is not on the leash/chain?
Secondly, they target my dog is there anything I can say about that? The reason I say he is targeted is that he runs around with my mom's dog and they allowed her to take her dog inside but had told her they were not going to allow her to take Coco(my dog) inside they were going to take him.
