And super tired.
We've been away these last two days, doing the big father's day tour, followed by mum's birthday.
Sunday morning, we visited hubby's mum and bonus dad (My stepmother thinks 'bonus' sounds better than 'step'. I blame fairytales). It's about a 20 minute drive and when we arrived in their town, we started seeing big tree branches on the ground, followed by trees, roots up or snapped in half. Turns out, the stormy weather we'd been having for a couple of days was a bit too much over there!
Luckily, hubby's parents had no damages. Hubby set up bonus dad's new pc and we chatted for a while. My brother called me and I was thinking "Why would he call?", but then remembered it was my birthday aswell. Oops!
For lunch, we headed over the the McDonalds and I had french fries. Then we visited my father in law for a little while, after which we headed to the McDonalds again, because it was my birthday and I wanted cake! After that, it took an hour to drive to mum.
We had yummy lasagne there and a rhubarb with cookie crumble dessert, which was good! And then, our last father's day stop. Walked over to my dad, sat outside for a while (which was way too cold) and then back to mum for some chatting and then off to bed.
Oh, mum and dad gave me a small greenhouse for my birthday!
Then was mum's birthday. She had a few visitors, but it was a small one this time, still having some lockdown rules and all. We headed back home after dinner, both being very exhausted. I then proceeded to copy/paste a pre-written post onto Hive and had a good night sleep.
This morning, we headed over to Ikea where I was finally able to buy new tea glasses. I've been making do with just two for about half a year after I broke the rest. We also bought some glass containers so I can cook in bulk to store in the freezer. We used to use plastic ones, but heating up in the microwave in plastic apparently isn't always the healthiest idea. Also, it tastes bad.
We wanted to go out for dinner for a late celebration for our 3 year anniversary tonight, but we're both too tired to do anything anymore. So I'll just cook us dinner instead. I did head out into the garden to clear out an especially messy corner, so I don't feel completely useless. There's still sooooo muuuuuch weeding to do... Gotta abuse hubby's week off.
Tomorrow, my birthday gift is arriving. Hubby ordered me an electric piano! Brought back a beginners book from mum, so I can start learning right away! We just have to rearrange some furniture first.
