I think that each of us is worried about the future of our children and their survival on our planet.
Nowadays, we use industrial electricity produced from fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas). It generates a large amount of carbon into the atmosphere and causes great harm to ozone layer. The amount of greenhouse gases is increasing. It leads to a large temperature jump on the planet and speeds global warming. All this cause a rapid climate change.
As the temperature rises on the planet, Arctic glaciers begin to melt, releasing huge amount of methane. Scientists say that glaciers contain much more carbon than atmospheric layers. As a result of the greenhouse effect, an exogenous catastrophe could happen.
All problems in our planet occur due to the human guilt, since using this method of energy production, large amounts of anthropogenic carbon emissions are released into the atmosphere. It leads to imbalance in the carbon cycle and an increase in CO2 concentration.
In December 2015, the Paris Climate Agreement was held, in which world politicians tried to find a solution to eliminate the problems leading to global warming. Nevertheless it would not give the desired result. The temperature still rises, the weather is unpredictable, and icebergs continue to melt.
Zero Carbon Project proposes to solve the problem of global scale by creating a zero carbon market and using blockchain technology.
Clients of the Zero Carbon Project are both energy consumers and its suppliers.
Consumers benefit from cheaper energy contracts. During the transition to a contract with zero carbon emissions, it will be possible to receive tokens as a reward (ZCC). As a result, electricity is obtained cheaper than it was before.
Energy suppliers, in turn, have the benefit of acquiring new customers.
In my opinion, thanks to the Zero Carbon Project and the emergence of a zero carbon market, global warming can be prevented much faster and more efficiently. Let’s stop the release of carbon gas into the atmosphere.
