Audi has presented its new car: the Audi RS e-tron GT in it's online launch event yesterday - and here is a first look.
This four door coupé is a reinterpretation of the gran turismo philosophy, and embodies elegance, dynamic design with a powerful electric drive.
The RS e-tron GT is Audi's spearhead of electrification at Audi, and the Senior VP of the Audi Brand has this to say: “With the Audi e-tron GT we are putting the DNA of Audi on the road. The gran turismo superbly reflects our innovative strength and our pioneering spirit. For us it is already part of a line of icons of the brand, alongside the Audi TT and the Audi R8.”
It's interesting to see this new EV - it seems to be a direct competitor to the Tesla Model S, but price-wise, it costs more. The range starts at just over £72,000.00 and the RS e-tron GT you see here costs just over £121,000.00.
Audi claim that the range for the base model will be around 303 miles, but this has yet to be tested and confirmed by WLTP. It has a 0-62 mph of 3.3 seconds, and a rapid charge capability of around 23 minutes.
