This is a PHEV with a difference, it has been developed to offer performance car stats yet have the practicality of an SUV.
From what we've seen already, it's certainly hitting it's target.
We chatted to Joaquin Garcia, Head of Design for SEAT & CUPRA and asked him some questions about the design language of the Formentor, starting with the exterior and finishing with the interior.
The first thing we noticed was it was in a Matt Blue colour, Joaquin explained this was to define the design lines and really emphasise the curves, angles and the emotion they carry.
The design is sporty and has a real presence.
The Formentor is the first vehicle by the manufacturer to have 100% CUPRA DNA, stats will be coming out at some point, already we know its 245PS and has an electric mode of 50KM.
The rear of the car like El Born is a true celebration of light with a full width red LED, and sculpted lenses.
The interior features an video display interior mirror which can switch to a standard mirror, digital cockpit, racing bucket seats and 10" Panoramic floating Navigation screen.
It also features an intelligent DCC Chassis.
