Hello, Lucy here is about 11 years old and can't stop peeing her bed. She is let out 4 times a day, but for some reason, she is unable to control herself. Before the puppy pads, she would just soak in her own urine. She smelt terrible. We ended up washing her bed every day, using towels and washing those out each day, and we even gave her plenty of baths. These were all good tries for handling the situation, but man, are those puppy pads awesome. They soak up all her urine and it way easier to clean. Although it is a lot of waste and more money, we are doing our best to take care of her here. She is in good spirits, just embarrassed she cant hold it these days. (EWW, RIGHT?) With that said, out intention right now and our most important project here at the Planetary Health Zone is to build indoor and outdoor kennel access. Elijah and I both work, so the comfort and well being of the dogs is dependent on our volunteers and any donation we get, which are not always consistent. For long term stability around here and giving the dogs the best life we can, we know that giving them the freedom to go to the bathroom is an important one.
