Looks like a slight dip in reported sales this last week. The average is still holding up above $10 grand but we didn't have any large 6 figure sales this past week to really pull up the numbers. Although we did have an interesting new gTLD sale... take a look and see!
Here are the Top 20 Domain Name Sales for last week that have been recorded by namebio.com
These top 20 sales have a combined total of $231,488 dollars making the average sale price $11,574 dollars.
Number 9 on the list (manhattan.info) has a recorded sales history. This domain has multiple sales in it's history. First it sold for $5,356 USD on 2006-09-12 at Moniker. Then for $10,000 USD on 2007-02-27 at Sedo. Then for $21,000 USD on 2007-08-07 at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Then for $7,000 USD on 2017-07-25 at BuyDomains. This appears to be a popular investment for domainers but nobody has found the end user for it yet. The recent sale last week was for the same amount the last person paid, $7,000 USD. Looks like the owner just wanted to get their money out of this one.
Number 11 on the list (bewerbung.info) has a recorded sales history. This domain also has a few sales in it's history. It first sold for $2,900 USD on 2009-07-22 at SnapNames. Then for $4,321 USD on 2011-05-11 at Sedo. This recent sale makes for a gain of $522 USD in about 7 and a half years.
Today's list breaks down to 14 .com domains, 3 .org domains, 2 .info domains and 1 .holdings domain.
My favorites on the list are ndvr.com and activefuture.com. I think it's interesting to see the .holdings domain sale. I can't imagine ever investing in a domain such as this, nor can I see being an end user paying nearly twenty thousand dollars for one of these. I would much rather spend that money on good quality .com domains... but that's just me.
Well, that concludes the Top 20 Domain Name Sales for the last week.
