Everyone I know is working 2-3 jobs. This is a habit that was forced upon us during the great recession. Now that the economy is improving, we're making more money than ever before, but now a mentality of hurrying up to acquire assets ahead of the next downturn is forcing us to double down on our efforts and squeeze earnings out of every waking second. This is creating a hyper-discipline in determining how to schedule our time; an idiosyncratic grind.
This is a minimalistic/modernistic piece. There are dissonant, stressed ostinatos, but a kind of strained optimism shines forth in the more melodic elements.
