I am Paulo Júnior, also known as Pjay. I am 25 years old, born in Santo Antônio de Pádua, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, and I moved to Macaé when I was 12.
My first contact with skateboarding happened in an unexpected way: my mother found a skateboard on the street and brought it home.
From that moment on, I didn’t want to do anything else and started skateboarding every single day.
The neighborhood where I lived, Miramar, had a huge influence on my skateboarding progression because many experienced skaters lived there. It was in this environment that I started skating, following the older skaters, and I immersed myself more and more in this universe.
This journey has been going on for 13 years now, always loving and living this lifestyle.
In 2018, Pipa Souza's first video was released, a great sign that skateboarding owes me and that it is a reference for me.
I had some friends who helped me learn and develop in the world of skateboarding, from filming and editing to improving my skills.
Since then, we have invested in the first Barracãoshop project, which has always supported me and encouraged me to continue. This partnership has been fundamental to achieving two of my goals outside of skateboarding.
Together with Nogenta, who I met here at skatehive, I received all the support I needed to make this happen. In 2020, at Nogenta we launched a project that you had the honor of participating in, called “DA PONTE PRA LÁ”.
are deeply satisfied with all of you who contributed to this minimal day of skateboarding. Each of you plays an important role in my learning and development.
