We went back again to our favorite river, and just like before it was so much fun and really refreshing! With how extremely hot the weather is these days, going here is honestly the best thing we can do. It’s like a natural cure for this scorching heat that makes everything feel dry sticky and burning hot.
The moment we arrived and saw the familiar place again, I knew right away this trip would be just as good or even better than the last one. The way going here is already relaxing. Tall coconut trees are everywhere standin high and green swaying gently with the wind.
Above us is a clear bright blue sky that makes everything look so alive and beautiful. Even before reaching the water the air already feels cooler and fresher here totally different from the hot dusty roads and streets back in our village.
Just breathing the air here makes you feel calm and happy like you entered a different much better world. And when we finally got near the water? Wow! The water is so incredibly cold and clear! I’m telling you it is so cold exactly what we needed!
The kind of cold that instantly wakes you up and cools down every part of your body. It flows so gently over smooth stones and fine sand, sparkling brightly under the sun. It’s not deep everywhere, so we could walk around wade and swim anywhere we wanted safely.
The second we dipped our bodies in it felt like all the heat, sweat and tiredness we felt earlier just disappeared completely. Seriously, this cold water really heals and relieves us from the extreme heat we suffer every single day. It feels like heaven!
We stayed there for hours just enjoying the moment. Sometimes we swam around, sometimes we just sat on the big smooth rocks and let the cold water flow over our legs and feet. It was so peaceful. All we could hear was the soft sound of flowing water the rustling of coconut leaves and the gentle breeze blowing.
