As the night rapidly approaches on the shortest day of the year & nature goes to sleep, I am getting ready to do some self reflection & be still within myself.
I drew a card that resonated so powerfully & thought I would share with you. Feeling the familiar tug from the Universe, I had to. So, bear with me here. ;)
It has been quite a powerful year for me personally. I have grown so much & come face to face with many shadows that are still within. It is also a time I have stepped out of my comfort zone, time & time again. During the journey, some people have fallen away & had take a separate road towards their own path. As bittersweet as this was, others have met me further down the line.
Old energy has dissipated & vanished from my sight (which is still somewhat a work in progress), while new energy is finding its way in like a blazing light at the end of the tunnel.
The Winter Solstice is a time for me to be still & remember the ones who have honored me with their love & the life lessons I needed to learn. Be still & remember who I truly am. It is a time for fear to die; for doubt to be no more. And all the while I do this, rest & being gentle with myself is just as important.
Death is here, but not in the literal sense as we immediately think of. It's a time to remember & take stock of where I am at, grieve what I have lost but also be grateful for what I had and HAVE.
As this process takes place, it's also a time for rebirth...a rebirth of my soul as I get ready to take the next step in my life into 2020. 2020 is a new year & a new decade; a time for spiritual 20/20 vision, full of promise & potential.
But this time my intention is different. I am letting go & trusting the Universe without needing validation or physical proof. It's the next step of faith I am taking.
Even though I am sharing my personal view, it's not just about me. It's about you also. It's about all of us. We are all connected & we are all on our own journey. As the card states, it's time for us to remember we are loving energy of the Universe.
It's time to remember who you truly are. No matter where you are in your life right now, you have come through hell & high water to be where you are at right now. It's because of your courage, your conviction, your truth.... you are here. Even if it's dark for you at the moment, that light is still within. All it needs is that spark to be reignited. This is your true, core energy.
So, take a few minutes or even a few hours to be still. Listen to your heart. Light a candle & honor its light. Burn some incense or sage your home space. Put on some music that stirs your soul.
If that isn't your thing, just take a moment to honor where you are at & what brings you true joy. What resonates with your soul? What shadows do you need to work through & purge? Your heart will answer. Just take that time to listen.
As your perspective is reborn, re-prioritize what is most important to your life mission & dreams. It's not a time for self judgment. Remember, be gentle but honest. Be true to yourself & you will start seeing beyond the material things.
And thank YOU for taking the time to read this. I appreciate & see the light in you.
Happy Winter Solstice & Namaste!
