[Pencil drawing of modern day Goddess]
I completed this drawing today sitting at starbucks. I wanted to draw someone with big but neat curvly hair wearing a long relaxed dress. When i finished the first quick sketch she reminded me of a goddess.
The first sketch is always very brief, wonky and uneven. I don't have a perfect sketch skills like those artist who have straight neat pencil lines. I just have my own way of drawing things :)
After the face is done I move on to the hair. I think this is the most important part of the sketch because the facial features creates the mood of the drawing. For her, she has a subtle and calm face which creates a warm but mysterious feeling.
Last but not least, I move on to the body and gown. Putting in the details is the most thoughtful but fun part of drawing. And WALAH!! Pencil drawing of goddess complete.
Maybe one day i'll get into the coloring. I lent my coloring tools to a friend. So when I get them back i'll finish it and put it up :)
