@bosselGood about Qiantong is (or was, not sure whether it still is) that it is not a commercial hellhole like many other tourist attractions in China. In Dali, for example, pretty much every house in the old town is a souvenir shop. You see nothing but shops. In Qiantong, not so. But that also means that maintenance is not necessarily the highest priority.

@iamyohannThe Feast of Saint Philomena, one of the town's patron saint is celebrated every 10th of August and this marks Sibonga's "Bonga Festival." Bonga means fruit and harvest. The event is organized by the mayor and officials annually. The town's local produce and cultural dances are the main features of the thanksgiving celebration. Colorful costumes and festive decor with the Spanish colonial architecture as the perfect backdrop.

@diverattThere are so many amazing wrecks to dive in Chuuk Lagoon it is really hard to pick one to start off with. But the Fujikawa Maru is probably a very good place. It's one of the iconic wrecks in the lagoon, voted one of the top 10 wrecks in the world in a survey by The Times and favorite of many divers. Probably one of the first anyone arriving will get to dive too as it is the ideal depth for a check dive.
