A Hike in the Abel Tasman National Park , New Zealand's smallest national park located in the north end of the south island was our family's idea of spending the last day of the year. With the exciting events of the New Year's Eve brewing ahead, we walked along the shaded coastal track for about 8.6 kilometers from Marahau to Apple Tree Bay and return.

Coming in with another visual report and a few words about the old town of Nessebar, a UNESCO site on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. The town is a peninsula, almost an island, really. Connected to the mainland by a narrow strip.
