Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26, and I'll be presenting today's edition of #TravelDigest. Our featured posts include a peak in West Bengal, India, a village in Spain, and a palace in Portugal. Enjoy!
I can't believe it but it is true, I was standing at a place from where the world's highest peak 'Mount Everest' was visible and on the other side India's highest peak named 'Kanchenjunga' was shining. Today I invite you to Spain, to the extremely beautiful and charming Andalusian village of Mijas Pueblo. Situated on the Costa del Sol coast this village is one of Spain's most beautiful white villages. Tourists from all over the world marvel at this village, where traditional Andalusian architecture with white houses and flower-adorned clay pots line the narrow streets. This small village boasts a rich cultural heritage: beautiful churches adorned with mysterious sacred places, monuments and statues, museums and fountains. Additionally, there are many shops filled with traditional handicrafts and of course, plenty of restaurants and cafes offering travelers a taste of local cuisine. Let's take a walk together through the streets of Mijas Pueblo and enjoy its magnificent beauty and unforgettable charm.

The palace is a stunning example of Baroque architecture as the King wanted to showcase Portugal's monarchy as a player in European pilitics. He brought in sculptors from Italy who schooled the locals in the trade, which was super handy considering they'd be needed to help rebuild after the earthquake in 1755, which didn't seem to touch the fairly recently built palace.
