Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26 and I'll be presenting today's edition of #TravelDigest. In our featured posts, we have a chateau in Slovakia, a town in Croatia, and a district in Nepal. 🥇 Galicia Nueva in Halič by @delishtreats

The origins of the chateau go back to the 12th century, but the first written mention was done in the 14th century. At that time, there was a stone castle in this place which was owned by the Lossonczy family until the 16th century when it was sold to the Forgach family who lost it after the World War II. The chateau as we see it today was built in the 17th century by the latter family.

🥈 The elegant town of Opatija under the Christmas lights by @miljo76

We had a late morning departure, which was partly due to the fact that my son forgot to pack a part of his clothes and we had to return home to pick them up (luckily, he remembered it when we were still close to our home), and we arrived at the seashore right for lunch time. My wife planned the lunch stop in advance and booked a nice and cosy restaurant in the small town of Volovsko. A tiny village by the sea, quite calm, and with few nice restaurants.

🥉 Exploring Nepal Visiting the oldest Kathmandu district Kirtipur by @thefootprint

Kiritpur is one of the big districts belonging to the capital city of Kathmandu. It was made on top of the hill which was important for kings to build in this strategic areas. The name of the city can be tranlated as the city of glory. Old city with many good remained houses from Newari people .ethinc group of Nepali people. was original start of nowadays mega capital. As we are interested in history, art and old architecture we decided to visit Kirtipur and see this not so touristic area.
