Hi everyone @LivingUKTaiwan here with today's edition of the #TravelDigest. In UK today we have experienced the hottest day ever, 40 centigrade/ 104 farenheit. I know in many countries and areas that is hot but not unusual, but given our location, it is very hot for us. So hot that I've selected a some nice and cool Pinmapple posts in our Top 3 selection. First of all, is a a cave on an ancient trail in Hungary, next also ancient, a temple from Thailand, and finally, not quite ancient, but a historical pier in Turkey. Enjoy your summer and your virtual travel around the world everyone!
" The cave is now open to the public, but the influx of tourists is so great that it is time to regulate it, because the place, like all caves, is protected. If it were up to me, I would charge admission on at least Saturdays and Sundays and limit the number of tourists there at any one time. The proceeds should be used to preserve nature. And I would never let filmmakers in again! Why? I'll explain below."

" As I mentioned earlier, it was then demolished by the rampant, marauding Burmese in 1767.To be fair, it must have been a very impressive structure in its time. Looking at the amount of bricks solidly built to form the foundations and pillars, it is no wonder so much survived. Without plans or knowledge of modern structural engineering, everything looked over engineered and stoically put together."

" Normally, Konak or Alsancak Ferry Ports are busier near here. The reason why this place is still used is because it is a historical building. I guess if this place was in Istanbul, it would have been converted into a restaurant already. However, since such places are given importance in İzmir, it is still used as a pier."
