Hi everyone it's @lizanomadsoul here with the Monday edition of the #TravelDigest.

This is a story of a short hike and what was probably my first conscious attempt at meditating some 10 years ago. This was a turbulent time in my life and a lot of changes were taking place for me. While I was still in the work-a-day world and would be starting a new job soon (short-lived but a whole other story) I was kind of on my own for the first time in a lot of years. Kids were grown and I was without a spouse or girlfriend. This was a solo trip and I was ready to make some changes. 馃榾

Visiting some mountainous border provinces in the North of Vietnam was my highlight of the year 2020. I already shared about Ban Gioc waterfall, Ha Giang, and Sapa in my journey in October last year on my blog a while ago. And today, I'm so excited to take you to visit Ba Be Lake that belongs to Bac Can province- a region in the Northeast of Viet Nam. It was really a fantastic and memorable experience. If you want to experience an authentic rural Vietnam, Bac Can is just a perfect place.

So if you didn't catch the last couple of posts, we're currently on a journey in Fukuoka that we went on back in May 2017! Neither of us had ever been to that part of Japan before and since there were some cheap flights we decided to go explore a new region together! Here we go!Last week, we started our day-long journey through a very special Dutch town-inspired theme park called Huis Ten Bosch were there were pretty flowers everywhere!!
