Hi everyone, @LivingUKTaiwan here with the weekend edition of the #TravelDigest. Did anyone attend HiveFest these couple of days? @martibis did a talk today covering his experiences with depression and how it lead him to create Pinmapple and Haveyoubeenhere. Check out this video to catch up with his talk starting at 4:12:00 if you missed it.
I had planned to camp on the actual top of the peak, but I didn't quite make it. A late start combined with snow on the road that made the hike longer than expected made it to where I would've had to hike to the top in the dark and I wasn't feelin' it. So I found a real nice area about a half mile below the summit and hung my hammock for the night.

Very close to it, crossing the route, we find the El Zapato Dam, a great water mirror formed by the confluence of several rivers and streams that is used by several nearby towns to provide them with water, besides being a great space for the practice of sports activities such as water sports and sport fishing.

The strangest thing, at least for me, is that it has no palm trees and the vegetation is very different from the beaches I have known. It's kind of dry, if you look at just the side of the vegetation it looks like a desert.
