@bosselWith Chinese tourists comes commercialisation. In Lijiang this is much worse than in Dali. Virtually every building in traditional style (most of which are actually fairly new, built only in the last 2 or 3 decades) is either a shop, a restaurant or a hotel. Case in point is that restaurant in the nice alleyway above. The stairs leading into the wall show you that the original building there obviously looked very different from the restaurant now.

@shoemanchuThe Wright's Field trail is a 3.1 mile hike but more like a walk, unless you freestyle it like we did. So many paths to choose from and we actually ended up walking about 5.5 miles total. This was stop one of day one, so good thing we had enough energy the next day to do the big hike. @kohsamui99The dark side of Nelson town is , it was directly downstream of Eldorado Canyon and unfortunately the once boomtown was hit by flash flooding taking away all it precious minerals and making the town practically uninhabitable , what we are seeing here today is a small remaining quantity that was sitting above the flood channel.
