I'm sure you all have heard of the phrases such as "He is lucky to be successful" or "You're only successful because you got lucky" but what exactly does being that even mean?

According to Merriam Webster Dictionary. Luck is an event or circumstance that operate for or against an individual. So basically it's just by chance that successful people got lucky? Well it seems to be true that luck played a role for successful people but that's not the only factor we need to take in now do we? We can't just say oh I'll just wait for my luck to come to me so that I will be successful. That is just plain wishful thinking.

Successful people doesn't wait for luck or a lucky opportunity to come to them. They themselves will knock at lucks doorstep and force it to open for them. But how do you do that anyway? You can't just do random stuff and expect to get lucky right? Well successful people doesn't do things randomly, everything they do always has a reason behind them. Whether it's their passion, dream or goal in life. I think it's safe to say that we all have those things right? So how are successful people different from your average joe?

Most successful people never took the easy road. It sounds so simple yet confusing at the same time isn't? What does that mean you say? It means this.

Taking the hard road doesn't mean they are purposely making their lives hard but they have experienced a lot of failures in their lives. Not just one or two but a lot. While most people never even get pass by a single obstacle in their lives. Many people have tried doing the same thing, they fail so many times but never succeeded. So what's the difference?

Successful people never give up. They take the proverb "Never give up until you succeed" to the highest level. While most people will give up half way through because they can't take all the failures anymore, they never give up. It's try until you die. It may sound crazy but that's how they knock into Lucks doors forcing it to open. It quite similar to buying a lotto ticket or joining a raffle. The more entries you have the more chances of winning right? While it is true that luck played a part to their success but while successful people may have different stories on how they achieved their success but they all have one thing in common. They never give up. So don't give up in reaching your dreams. No matter how many times you fall, rise up to the challenge and move forward.

And lastly before I end this. I would like to share something my grand father have always told me since I was young. I have always kept it close to my heart and have always followed it.
