Today is my natal day. I am now a year older with all my good wishes. Time flies so fast in a blink and it is now June 24, 2023. It seemed that I only celebrated it last year when my late sister surprised me.
At this moment, I am still celebrating it with happiness together with family, but it is so sad to say that I am now celebrating it today without my sister’s existence.
Aside from being emotional, I am not feeling well today because I am having influenza.
How sad it is to be sick and have the flu on my special day but I tried my best to be strong and fight against it so I would get well soon as I took my medicines.
In the morning, my family went to the Church to celebrate the feast of a patron Saint, St. John the Baptist. After the mass, they went to a beach, but I was not with them because I cannot make it traveling due to my condition so I just simply stayed at home as I struggled with a runny nose, headache, tired feelings of being ill, cough, and colds.
I am just alone in the house and I just rested all day so it would be better because when they will all arrive. While lying on my bed, I was also busy reading and replying to birthday greetings and wishes from awesome people and great friends both offline and online.
When everybody arrived, they began to prepare for the celebration while I went to the church. Suddenly, they were all busy and we commemorated it at home.
I was just watching them as they do all the wall decor and birthday decorations. And here I am sitting at the corner, trying to be fine so I could treasure another precious moment of my existence.
The wall decor was a minimalist design decorated with gold background and colorful balloons. There were many delicious foodies but I cannot taste them well due to my condition.
If only I were not ill, surely I would enjoy all the foodies. However, I am enjoying the moment as I celebrated another year with my family.
When everything was done, we all gathered at the table, they offered a prayer to me along with lovely greetings and beautiful wishes for my birthday and they all sang happy birthday as they clap their hands and had great smiles.
Meanwhile, everyone was hungry and all were so eager to eat the delicious foodies displayed at the table. I captured many selfies and tried to have my best smile despite being sick.
How I love to eat all kinds of foods. The desserts were so enticing and I must say that all the foodies were delicious, most especially the Lechon Baboy. Among the foods on the table, still I wanted to taste its crispy skin and flavorful ribs.
Moreover, I was attracted to see my birthday cake in my favorite color pink. Although I was not the one who baked it, I designed my birthday cake and told my friend to blend it with the colors pink and white. I love how the cake stood so elegantly on the table. And as I blew my cake, I made the best wishes of life with hopes that the desires of my heart would be granted.
