I woke up early and experienced a cold gloomy morning yet I found solace for another beautiful day to enjoy life and make the most of the moment.

As usual, I took time to have an early morning walk while enjoying the beautiful scenery full of greenery and the relaxing sea made me soak my feet. I just walked all around until my stomach felt hungry.

So after a while, I went to the counter and ordered some meals for breakfast not to mention that I ordered an instant coffee, a rice meal with egg and dried fish, and a rice meal with SPAM. I wanted a bowl of unlimited rice but there was none so I simply ordered a heavy meal for breakfast.

I noticed that there were many orders because many customers were having a follow-up on their breakfast to be served at the table. But there were only a few staff preparing and it was on a first come first served basis. So it took more than an hour for my orders to be served at the dining table.

However, the instant 3-in-1 coffee was served first so all was well despite being hungry. This brand of instant coffee is so famous here in the Philippines and indeed so affordable. I must say that it is like a β€œPambansang Kape” or a National coffee literally although there are many brands of coffee here. I grew up with this instant coffee and I so love its taste too with different instant flavors.

And when my orders arrived, I felt hungry because of the aroma of the dried fish. The dried fish was Danggit from Cebu. How I love this and it is my favorite dried fish being boneless, crispy, and having the right taste.

I love soaking it with sukang sinamak, which is a fermented vinegar with all the presence of aromatic spices adding a delicious taste to any meal. And that, my meal is not complete without it and sometimes I even combine it with soy sauce.

I hate spam but I love SPAM and more.
A traditional Filipino breakfast consists of eggs cooked in so many ways but I just loved the egg to be just fried, scrambled, and boiled. Sometimes, I am preparing an omelette yet the presence of SPAM, sunny-side-up egg, and dried fish makes me happy during breakfast moments with a cup of Joe.

I remember when I was younger, I could only eat SPAM whenever a package from outside the country was sent from a relative or friend since my parents cannot afford to buy it. But that was fine since we were eating more healthy meals with fruits and vegetables.

I enjoyed my breakfast and how I love having it by the sea with a cooling ambiance. If I could have my style of preparing a meal most quickly, I would simply choose the SPAM, dried fish, egg, and three-in-one coffee for breakfast. Perhaps I hate spam but not the SPAM in the can.
