That sliminess makes it unpalatable, but I've seen a Netherland Dish where okro is eaten with rice. Another thing is, that people are mostly known for eating bread with beans, not bread with rice, this is mainly a norm.

I really enjoy okra with rice, it is one of my best concoction. Also I love mixtures but not as far as mixing akara plus boiled yam, jollof beans, stew and pap like I saw a customer eating at my aunt's fast-food joint🤣.
