Word Factory Night

Kickstarting the weekend with @prinsepong and Word Factory. We both enjoy challenging board games and love to compete with each other. Mostly consequence is doing some household chores 😜

After months, we again played Word Factory. We always play 10 rounds and the one who got highest cumulative score wins.

For those who are not familiar with this game, let me show you how to play this brain exercise game.



The game can be played by 2 or more players — the more the merrier as we usually say but more players make the game more challenging.

WHAT'S INSIDE THE BOX
* 5x5 Cube Grid with Cover
* 25 letter cubes
* 3 Minute Sand Timer

WHAT YOU NEED
* Few Papers
* Pen
* And of course, Playmate 😅

OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME

Within 3 minutes you have to list as many words as you can with minimum 4 letter words. You should aim for 8 or more letter words as it corresponds to 11 points each.

HOW TO PLAY THE GAME

1.) Cover the cube grid and gently roll the letter cubes inside. Maneuver the grid until each cube falls into place.

2.) One player will remove the cover while other player starts the timer — you can also use electronic timer with alarm

3.) Once timer started, each player searches the assortment of letters to make a word of four letters and more. Write down the words as many as you can within 3 minutes.

4.) When timer runs out, all players must stop writing. Each player has its turn to read his list of words loud. Words that appear on more than one player's list must be crossed off all lists, including reader's list.

5.) After reading all the players list, whatever words are left after striking off the words that appear to other players will be counted.

6.) The player that has highest score wins

* TIP — always try to find the longest word 😉

WINNING

a.) The player whose words have earned the highest points
b.) The player whose words earned the highest cumulative score in game series
c.) The first to reach certain points agreed by the players as target

It can also be played by Team, with Handicap or raise the level to Advanced — in Advanced, players will only look for words with 5 letters and more.



It is really very nice game for whole family or with your circle of friends — Full of fun plus it exercises our brain and keeps it active.
