Kyle reported his success to Olivia and expressed his desire to take down more Chimeras before checking on the town hall. I then encountered hostile survivors near a high-level tower, fought off waves of infected, and used a massive tree to strategically lure the horde away to secure the area.
Kyle immediately reported back to Olivia, mentioning that he was starting to love taking down those dangerous Chimeras. Before heading back to her position, he decided he would check on the guys over at the town hall first.
I noticed that the local infected had completely vanished from the immediate area. A few pieces of gear laid scattered nearby, which could have been useful in the fight, but now they can't be of any uses.
As I looked around, I noticed a massive tower loomed ahead in the distance, looking like a perfect candidate for a safe house. It was situated inside a clearly designated high-level zone, but I decided to head over there anyway.
I moved quickly to climb up the structure, even though groups of infected still wandered around the base. Looking for a secure way to reach the top and establish a personal safe house, I suddenly spotted a group of people.
The world held more than just mindless infected; hostile survivors existed out here too, and they clearly did not want me to survive. One man aggressively yelled a final goodbye, having already decided that I was going to die right there.
I had no intention of backing down and fought back hard to show them who the real boss was. While that particular man moved off to clash with some wandering infected, I swiftly took care of another hostile survivor who tried to flank me.
Fortunately, their chaotic movements actually helped clear out some of the nearby infected for me, though I hoped I would not die while managing both threats.
I turned to face the last remaining hostile, but my axe sustained severe damage, leaving me temporarily unable to attack. Reacting quickly, I switched to my crossbow and fired, successfully putting the final attacker down for good.
With the threat neutralized, I looked for a way to climb the tower but found no stairs or accessible ledges to hold onto.
Before attempting the tricky climb, I paused to let my health regenerate since the previous battle had left me badly battered. The local infected quickly caught wind of my presence and began attacking nonstop.
Realizing the direct approach was impossible, I spotted a large, sturdy tree nearby that looked like it could provide an alternate path upward. But it was a tricky climb and I failed with my first try.
A fresh wave of infected rushed in and began messing up my plans, forcing me to stand my ground and violently thin out the swarm. I systematically took down every creature that crossed my path.
I'll show what happens next later.
I personally took all the screenshots from my play and I used a logo of the game from online to use in the thumbnail.
