This is the title of a song by Giorgio Gaber, Italian singer-songwriter. Nothing more true and current.
We have lost the meaning and value of everything, we are in the era of everything and immediately, if something requires sacrifice we will give it up without trying to try to understand it. Passions, love, friendships etc ... everything has become disposable.
The reality is that beauty requires sacrifice and dedication.
Everything that matters in life needs to be cultivated with care, day after day. If after a month we stop watering a plant because we are tired of the fact that it is not yet giving us fruit, we will never collect anything and we will probably blame the plant instead of ourselves. Blaming others is much easier and less frustrating than blaming yourself for not being able to wait patiently for the right time to mature.

In a verse Gaber writes: * to be honest I don't find anything that looks like the truth. *
Think! What is important today globally? The business!
Everything revolves around business. As much as we can feel outside of this mechanism, in some way we are part of it, it is inevitable.
Business has always existed, but today it has been brought to gigantic levels. In my field, that is music, I have noticed a strong drop in true passion and sincerity, the important thing is to show up well and make a good impression, being approved with society. If you have your own character, you are seen as a ball-breaker and not as an added value to try to improve things.
Everything must be mediocre to date, things done well are uncomfortable because they require much more effort and bring less money. It is a world where sensitive and thinking people are put aside.
I conclude with another verse of his beautiful song:

***Il tutto è falso, il falso è tutto
Questo è il titolo di una canzone di Giorgio Gaber, cantautore italiano. Niente di più vero e attuale.
Abbiamo perso il senso e il valore di ogni cosa, siamo nell'era del tutto e subito, se una cosa richiede sacrificio, la molliamo senza provare a sforzarci per capirla. Passioni, amore, amicizie ecc...è diventato tutto usa e getta.
La realtà è che la bellezza richiede sacrificio e dedizione.
Tutto ciò che conta nella vita, ha bisogno di esser coltivato con cura, giorno dopo giorno. Se dopo un mese smettiamo di annaffiare una pianta perchè stufi del fatto che ancora non ci stia dando dei frutti, non raccoglieremo mai niente e probabilmente daremo la colpa alla pianta invece che a noi stessi. Incolpare gli altri è molto più facile e meno frustrante piuttosto che prendersela con se stessi per il fatto di non esser stati in grado di aspettare pazientemente il giusto tempo per la maturazione.

In una strofa Gaber scrive: "ad essere sincero io non trovo proprio niente che assomigli al vero."
Pensiamo! Cosa è importante oggi a livello globale? Il business!
Tutto ruota intorno al business. Per quanto possiamo sentirci al di fuori di questo meccanismo, in un qualche modo ne facciamo parte, è inevitabile.
Il business è sempre esistito, ma oggi è stato portato a livelli giganteschi. Nel mio campo, cioè la musica, ho notato un forte calo di vera passione e sincerità, l' importante è presentarsi bene e far bella figura, essendo omologati con la società. Se hai un tuo carattere, sei visto come un rompi palle e non come un valore aggiunto per cercare di migliorare le cose.
Tutto deve esser mediocre ad oggi, Le cose fatte bene sono scomode perchè richiedono molto più impegno e portano meno soldi. E' un mondo dove la gente sensibile e pensante è messa da parte.
Concludo con un'altra strofa della sua bellissima canzone:
"Cerco di afferrare un po' il presente, ma se tolgo ciò che è falso non resta più niente."
