If you had ever asked me if Singapore was a destination I would travel to, then I would have said no. Little did I know that 
Singapore is known to be an expensive city, which applies strict rules with regard to littering, eating on trains, weapons and illegal drugs. The streets feel clean and safe. The transport system is efficient, easy to use and inexpensive. I was pleasantly surprised by this new-age city, which is had lush vegetation growing on the side walks as well as on the faces of buildings and on top of others. There are several parks surrounding the city, which boast some unique landscaping and artistic flare.
Our first adventure was to level 33, a fancy microbrewery with a restaurant at the top of the financial tower. The views were spectacular and the beers tasted pretty good for craft in SE Asia. Visible from the balcony were the Singapore straights, Marina Bay and the infamous Marina Bay Sands.
For dinner we visited Chinatown, which is a must-see. There is plenty of food to choose from and shops with some great clothing options. We ate at Chinatown Seafood Restaurant, which was delicious and well worth it. The cheapest beer to drink was Tiger in a larger bottle.
The following day after our successful interview, we visited Gardens by the Bay. It truly was an amazing experience looking at the natural artworks and creations. One of the highlights was the Cloud Forest, which is a greenhouse with a man-made waterfall and every orchard under the sun.
After exploring the greenhouse for a good one and a half hours, we rushed to catch the ferry back to Malaysia, where our sail boat was to set sail the following day.
