Lava can now be seen above the surface of the earth. This particular volcanic eruption has the potential to reach the Capital, not yet, but in the future it could.
The reason I posted this in Deep Dives is because of this second video and the potential that this eruption could actually destroy the Capital of Iceland... There is only 300,000 or so people in Iceland... Most live in the capital, this remote artic economy may need help if this escalates to that extreme.
There is airports in other cities and also port access. I am curious how this would effect the already expensive logistic costs to import goods in Iceland during a panic like this could cause.
