Who is Sophia?

The question isn't necessarily "who" is Sophia, but "what" is Sophia? She happens to be the first AI robot with citizenship status as a member of the world, just like a human. This is quite a surprise, as this suggests that society is becoming accepting of a new social order, wherein humans and robots are equal.  

Therefore, human rights will be applicable to robots...

Not only is Sophia a sophisticated robot, she has even created her own crypto-currency called the AGI Token. The AGI Token (Artificial General Intelligence) runs on the blockchain as a network/currency which creates a cohesive system to form a Singularity. A singularity is a system of nodes which data passes to communicate with future AI robots. Hence, Sophia is just the beginning...

Dr Ben Goertzel has often been tipped as a possible creator of Bitcoin, due to his world-class expertise in coding and software development. He has been working with Hanson Robotics in building Sophia to present to the world a self governing robot. He's literally the Da Vinci of the tech scene, but not many people know of his work.

The Future World?

Let's face it guys, the robots have already taken over the economy with the introduction of Cryptocurrency as global money. And will now be taking over our everyday life with robots like Sophia doing the jobs we're too lazy to do. I mean, why be in the office from 9-5 when you could have a machine do the job for you!   

The film In Time (2011) sums up the robotics debate, as the film suggests that Time is the actual currency, not money. And that robots will do the mundane jobs for us, in order to save more time in our lives.
