Will Cellphones Take over Professional Cameras? Perspective from a professional Photographer:Cinematographer [DTube Exclusive]

I've been taking photos for over 20 years. I've been doing video for over 10. I've used the most expensive cameras out there and I've used my cellphone. I've used the most state-of-the-art cine-camera's and I've used the latest cellphones. I've used go-pros. I've used other action cams. I've used micro 4/3 cameras. I've used mirrorless and DSLR's. I've used various webcams. What have I learned from this journey? I've learned that sensor matters. Dynamic range matters. Lenses matter. Codec and bit-rate matters. Dedication matters. Cameras are built for one purpose and one purpose alone. Cellphones are built for checking your e-mails, taking quick photos, taking videos, texting, calling, using the GPS, playing games. It's like comparing an asic miner to a laptop for mining. The asic will always outperform, no matter what.

So short answer: Will cellphones take over professional cameras? NO.
