"Wildflowers from my backyard" (My entry for the #monomad challenge)

I went to our backyard today to check the garden and see if any of the vegetables are ready for harvest. There is nothing that I think is already suitable for consumption and so I went back to the house to grab my camera to take pictures of the wildflowers that are growing around the backyard.

For a few minutes, I walked around the backyard and outside the fence to find a good spot for me to take photos. I think I mentioned in my previous Monomad posts that I usually look for subjects that are under a shade or areas that aren't lit by direct sunlight. That's a good way of creating photos with subtle lighting to them.

For this photo session, I don't need to look for that requirement since the timing that I chose is around late afternoon. The lighting is suitable for photography because there will be no harsh direct sunlight that can damage the details of the subject. The only challenge for this lighting condition is to find a suitable angle of view that will result in an image with well-balanced contrast. Without enough light, the subject will appear dull & gloomy.
