After days of research and tests, we think that we have come up to potential use case for Steemit's Community feature and Steempeak's Cross-Post tool to incentivize content discovery & aid to the growth of Photocircle Community.
When we first encounter the "cross-post in a community" tool, we realize that it could be a smart tool to incentivize the curator (in this case the "referee") of the content. By default, when an account cross-post a steem-based content the distribution of cross-post payout will be 5% for the author of cross-post, 90% goes to original author of the content, while 5% will be dedicated to the owner of the Hive/Community. We think that it's a fare share of rewards since the original author will claim the majority of the payout.
How to participate?
The goal for this curation system is to allow other users to promote other photographer's content to the Photocircle community while earning a portion of it. Here are the quick & easy steps:
- Log-in to the Steempeak front-end through either Steemconnect or Keychain
- Scout through any photo-related tag or community and look for an original photography content (good quality photo content that you think is worthy for the
@photocircle account upvote)
- Upon deciding which content to cross-post, look for the 3-dotted button and click to pull the menu or options. Select "cross-post in a community" option and select Photocircle from the drop-down menu list. (Note, subscription to Photocircle community maybe required)
- On the description below, provide a short statement about why you chose the content to cross-post.
