It´s not often that news from Canada make it to the headlines in our (Czech) media but both topics from your two latest posts (the discovery of the unmarked graves of the indigenous children and this one about the extreme heatwave) did just that. Sounds like a pretty eventful summer over there. Too bad neither of these two are positive. Just FYI, the first topic is described and considered "cultural genocide" in our media. And I am sure in other media here in Europe too. Very sad and tragic but I am glad and I think you are too that this hidden, ugly part of Canadian history is finally revealed to the world... But I don´t want to spoil this epic hike post of yours with any more negativity. The photos are absolutely breathtaking, I was missing this kind of posts from you ;) Btw very unusual to see you without your winter jacket :D :)
