RE: Around The World: Challenge - #26/7

One of many lakes in the Agricola Park, the largest park in Warsaw, Poland. The picture was taken almost a month ago and I´m sure the place now looks even more beautiful and colorful :)

Well, I would say we only scratched the surface as Warsaw is a big city and we only spent a couple of days there but thank you - glad to know you enjoyed the pictures :)

Hey Przemek! Happy to see you here too :) Actually, on our way from Warsaw back to Czechia, our train passed through Dabrowa Gornicza so I was thinking of you (and of @evelynchacin when we passed through

Yeah. And it´s even more amazing if you consider that all the historic stuff that you see in the pictures was actually built from scratch after the war...

Good point. But still, reconstructions of those giant magnificent buildings dating back to long centuries ago must have taken an incredible amount of painstaking effort. Kudos to all the people who rebuilt

I can only imagine. I know that up to 90% of the city was destroyed during the WWII, similarly to my own Czech hometown of Opava (80%). Considering this, the current appearance of Warsaw is truly admirable.
