On the outskirts of Maldon we discovered the old North British Mine set in lush green countryside.
There were remnants of an open cut pit, various buildings, a couple of water tanks and quartz kilns. Small information boards were strategically placed to describe each section of this old mine.
It was an interesting little walk in stunningly beautiful surroundings and another example of why Maldon should be a stop when touring the Bendigo region.
