Hey Hivers! This is my first time posting in this community. I’ve been reluctant to put my pictures out there, but I just decided to share them today — why not?
I’m in love with nature photography. I love taking pictures of skies, plants and flowers, trees, animals and insects — especially butterflies.
I simply just take the pictures with my iPhone 7 at angles that look good to me, then edit them, touching it up till I like how it looks. I’m planning on seriously taking courses in photography though.
Yesterday, I stepped out to withdraw some cash and just outside my lodge, I saw a pretty butterfly resting on a plant in the bush. It wasn’t flitting about. I was delighted! I had to take pictures.
And right there on the street, I pulled out my phone to get shots of the beautiful creature. I kept trying to take a perfect shot and had to even put a foot in the bush. I got embarrassed standing there on the street doing that though; people were watching. But I managed to get a few “okay” shots before I went into my lodge. I ended up editing only one of them since they were all similar.
And this is it.
I’m a sucker for butterflies. There’s something about their wings and their colours that makes me not want to miss an opportunity to get a shot of them when I can. Here are old pictures I took and edited.
Who else loves butterflies?
