Tarot Tuesday, Spring/Autumn Fires Ablaze

This is my intuitive sense of things, a story woven by my impressions of the cards. I intend to share energy here and inspiration, yet also to be honest and truthful. By reading this you retain your agency, you can interpret it and integrate this in the way that works for you. We begin with the nine of pentacles,
which gives such a sense of achievement and abundance. The systems have been put in place over these past few months of introspection. A lot has been addressed and released. A lot of things have been realigned. We are clearer about who we are and what inspires us. Now we can take all of this information and move forward into life.
A key theme of the nine is discipline and self restraint. In the first position it is the energy we are moving from into the now. We have been feeling the need to restrain ourselves in some way. It could be assessing our habits and making adjustments to them. It could also be restraining our impulses to be more methodical, working towards building something.
The nine has a fairly static energy though. It pulls inwards to reach effulgence, now that the nine phase is over we are expanding and expressing outwards. We are becoming expansive and dynamic - as expressed by the next card.
The centre card is the Ace of Wands
It is the key theme and the main message - this is the birth of passion and impetus. We have access to strong energies now, let's move into them and through them. Acceleration is happening and you can be a part of it.
The hand represents our agency, and it is grasping the living breathing rod - the wand of fire. This is symbolic for taking our power back. We're not taking it from someone else who has it, we are more recovering it from our own forgotten places. It is to do with relating though, we lost our power through interactions. The Sun sits in Libra which is about the self other dynamic, with the moon in Aries it focuses on our own individual ego and agency. If we have to have an ego, then why not a healed a complete one? Ego can be a boon to the world if it is empowered and humbled to the source of life.
It's an assertive almost aggressive energy, this is the sureness of our own self knowledge and self empowerment. It seems incredibly apt with the Aries full moon coming over us now, for us to have the fiery initiative to take charge of ourselves and move independently.
Now is the time to put your life and your fire into something, it may well germinate, fertilize, or even catch on fire! Let it become a bonfire of delight, let your days be filled with joy and inspiration.
Concluding with the tower
We should expect the unexpected. And by that I mean to not expect anything at all, let us wipe clean all assumptions. The tower is the fall of arrogance, yet it is a moment of clarity for the true being. Our limited sense of self is wounded or even destroyed.
Coming back to the ego, there is such a term as an 'ego-death' which is popular with practitioners of certain plant medicines. The ego death has two phases, the first being that disillusionment or deep loss - as what we thought was true dies. The second phase is mostly reported as being blissful, intense, and a time of true connection and expansion on an experiential level - going beyond thoughts.
What I am talking about is bringing the energies to a peak. Things are aligned right now so that major breakthroughs are possible. Coming first with the discipline of the nine of pentacles, we set the structure and defines our intention and helpful habits. Taking those through we have a basis for maintaining and building our energy. The ace of wands defines a time when life is naturally giving us juice, and more and more as we accept the invitation and begin to run with it. Recklessly disregarding our self imposed limitations.
The potentials are such that we can run enough energy through this system to dissolve many known and unknown blockages, open new portals, and take our experience of life to new places. This is the time to be alive, throwing away tired stories of victimhood.
Now is the time to live and to be, and to embrace the chaos and unknown. To be in the vortex is to be safe, trying to be the same thing is no longer safe. Be grateful for lightning bolts and explosions this week. They only come to show us what doesn't serve, and what can be opened further. It might feel bad, but it will feel a whole lot better having been able to do away with the stories and judgements perpetually sabotaging our life and relationships.
