ethearnal 11.jpgThousands of people around the world have waved goodbye to their office jobs and embarked on a freelancing journey. With over 1.4 million active members globally, we have a pretty good grasp of the bigger picture. At the moment, dozens of savvy business owners are connecting with top freelancers from across the globe to spark new projects like there’s no tomorrow. Recall, after carrying out various findings on freelancing I have emphasized the current market size which I wrote was worth around 1.5 trillion USD.
Convincingly, the freelancing industry is one industry that would not experience any foreseeable halt in the nearest or later future because all factors are pointing in line with positive growth with little or no trace of negative trends. How do I know this? “The next paragraph is assuring”.
We all agree that the inter connection in the world is waxing strong and stronger day in day out, coupled with the blessings the technology of automation has brought upon the world; regular jobs are going automated and the need for human intervention is dampening. This therefore requires that we switch our focus and channel more of our energy to getting more automated and connected because the connections is what will improve finding job opportunities and generally the way of living of people in times to come. Another yet important feature of getting connected is its ability of breaking various barriers such as location, economic situations amongst others.
It is widely known that the coverage of this sector is quite small. According to an article published on Forbes, it recognizes about 79 websites currently and actively participating in the freelancing business. Apparently visiting a number of the websites, I commend the work they have done so far so well but it will be considered underperforming considering the numerous benefits “ETHEARNAL” brings to the table. Buttressing the aforementioned statement, the job of connecting employers to job seekers is done applaudably to a large extent but could obviously be made better with decentralization, the use of blockchain and smart contracts. The major shortcoming of the centralized and traditional freelancing platforms is the issue of trust and reputation of the users of the platform. Centralized system has done well enough to make sure payment for job done is made with escrow but the process hasn’t been maximally optimized and leaks and loop holes can still be detected in the process. Other hitches faced are with time taken to complete payment and even the extravagant fees that are charged for making those payments.
With Ethearnal, the Ethereum blockchain would be employed to carry out the freelancing services therefore introducing a decentralized form of freelancing system. Smart contracts are a very integral part of the use of blockchain which would equally be adopted to the ethearnal ecosystem. The smart contracts would be set of rules to execute the obligations of both parties(Employers and the personnel executing the job respectively). Further drawing the distinctive line between Ethearnal and other centralized platforms is dealing with the issue of trust and reputation by setting aside a modality tagged “Tokenization of reputation”. With that modality all freelancers, employers and moderators are given reputational tokens for complete execution of a job,ensuring that injustice and fraud is attenuated and all participants are obliged to carry out their duties with utmost honesty and integrity.

Listings could be placed by both freelancers and Employers thus;
• The Freelancer makes his listing publishing his proposed service through a web client.
• The employer can also make a listing of his requirements on the platform.
Those listings are distributed on the Ethearnal network by their peer to peer Interplanetary file system(IFPS) which additionally keeps listings live always. If both parties meet each other’s requirements, they enter a smart contract with the contract tokens locked in. It is important to know both parties also stake the same agreed amount of reputational tokens. If the conditions are satisfied, the smart contract is triggered and executed. For cases of breakdown due to conditions not met, a time frame already set for the contract elapses and whatever has been staked by any of the parties is refunded and parity is established making sure no unwarranted withholding of tokens in the smart contracts. It would be depriving of information if I fail to mention Moderators who are also subject to possessing reputational tokens alike to ensure effective discharge of duties. Entirely, they are a part of the process to settle disagreements between parties.

Reputational Tokens
Reputational tokens, actually called Ethearnal Reputational Tokens (ERT) would be used to store measure of reputations can be earned by executing jobs on the Ethearnal platform and also can be purchased.
There is an ongoing crowdsale of ERT
