I am kind of tired to go for constructive criticism around HIVE.

But let me try again:

You guys (witness in general) have a problem of planning and thinking ahead, and look for real long-term impact.

All the 'improvement' proposals always go round and round about 'attracting investors' or 'making HIVE price go higher', but I never see the discussion being directed toward real product improvement.

You might argue about the 'projects' that developers are working on, but if you look closer, all of them is a copy of a better project that already exists, with the latest one being trying to surf the 'DeFi hype'.

Seriously, there is no improvement or innovation.

Now, you come with a proposal that basically says: "let's scrap what we did, create a new one, and hopefully the HIVE price will rise again... Why would it rise? who cares..."

You guys don't even understand the product.

Now it seems that the general sentiment of the witness is that the social layer (wich the whole economic model was founded upon) doesn't work because 'there is no investors coming', therefore it should be ignored.

You know why there is no investors coming?

Because there is nothing to invest.

The only thing that differentiates HIVE from other blockchains is the social layer, but instead of gathering to work on a plan to improve the reach of this layer, to bring in more users, and in consequence, bring in investors/projects/companies that look for big audiences, all I see is witness looking for gimmicks to create some quick push on the token price.

Instead of working towards attracting and retaining users, creating real value, whales all seem to just be worried about how 'valuable' is their own stake.

That includes your proposal to artificially reduce inflation by reducing, even more, the power of the users.

Add that to the toxic culture around here of shooting and flaming any kind of criticism towards whatever the witness/developers are doing, we will end up on a place will be just a big circle-jerk that has real value outside of it.
