Be prepared for some bitterness and resentment from people you have told about Steemit but did not take you seriously and those you did not tell at all. As someone who has been in the crypto scene for over three years now, i have become a little jaded. Not in crypto, but in people. I have become very selective about who I introduce to crypto. The truth is most people just won't get it the first, second or third go around. I'm not upset at those people because it does take time to learn and in most cases unlearn how you thought money and technology work. I just give them a brief pitch of what it is and places to go for more information. I don't follow up with them anymore because the one's who get it or are at least interested will seek you out. I told ten of my friends about Steemit on the 4th of July. I deliberately waited until the payout day so it would not be just my word, but the testimonials of all the users who received something. Out of 10 people, only 2 of them became interested enough to to try. I know some will be upset and bitter that the they did not take the opportunity be very early but I did my part. It's still time for them to come aboard but look what they have missed so far.
The people who disappointment the most are the ones that outright dismiss it without attempting or wanting to know anything at all about crypto. To them everything is scam. Those are the people who will resent you the most if you become successful from this. They won't understand that this kind of system is only possible because of crypto currencies. They can't understand that there is a paradigm shift in our relation with money and value as big as the shift the Internet brought us in how we communicate.
