Ahora, para hablarles sobre la gastronomía esencial un Venezolano puedo resaltar que en nuestra mesa nunca faltan en nuestros desayunos las arepas, rellenas de distintas formas; con: queso, huevo, mortadela, caraotas o pollo, también acompañar un almuerzo con plátano, sea frito, asado, sancochado u horneado. A los niños los alimentan con plátano, topocho, yuca, pan o arepa, estos acompañados con queso.
El costo de la vivienda si difiere mucho según el lugar donde vivimos entre municipios o ciudades y también entre sectores de la misma, en cuanto el alquiler de un inmueble tiene el costo mensual entre los $50 y $100. La venta de los inmuebles oxilan entre $1.000 y $200.000; el costo de los servicios, no solo en Maracaibo, sino, en toda Venezuela; se ha echado al olvido, es muy poco el porcentaje de población quienes lo mantienen vigente.

De las tradiciones culturales locales aqui en Maracaibo se encarga muestro guia tranvia. El te lleva pa´ que luis alla por santa lucia,
es una taguarita donde todo el pueblo se reune a tomarselas bien frias y hasta le es homenajeada con una gaita muy famosa del grupo "gaiteros de Pillopo."
Tambien te lleva a ver a nuestra Señora de Chiquinquira "la chinita" en la basilica. La virgen querida por el pueblo Zuliano y todos los diciembre se pasea por toda la ciudad marabina, Se dice que fue en 1709, cuando ocurrió el milagro; la tablita hallada en aguas del lago de Maracaibo. A ella se le conoce como la patrona de los zulianos
