Today I want to share with you a professional step-by-step guide on how to set up your Hive profile correctly. Many new users often find this part confusing, so I decided to write this to help the community and also keep records for myself. I’ve been learning and practicing this for some time now, and here’s the best way to do it:
📝 Step 1: Log in to Hive
Go to hive.blog/login.html
Enter your username (example: 
Type in your password or WIF key.
Click on Login ✅
📝 Step 2: Go to Profile Settings
Once logged in, click on the menu (three lines) at the top right.
Select Profile from the dropdown.
You’ll be redirected to your profile page.
From there, click on Settings.
📝 Step 3: Upload Profile & Cover Image
Under Public Profile Settings, you’ll see:
Profile picture URL → Click Upload an image and select your photo.
Cover image URL → Upload a nice cover banner (recommended size: 2048 x 512 pixels).
Tip 👉 Use Canva or any design tool to create a neat banner with your name or something that represents you.
📝 Step 4: Add Your Display Name
In the Display Name box, type your name (example: Phaunel Kelechi).
This is the name people will see when they visit your profile.
📝 Step 5: Write an “About” Section
This is very important because it tells people who you are. Keep it short but interesting. Example:
👉 “Hi, I’m Phaunel Kelechi, a passionate Hive user. I love football ⚽, reading 📚, and music 🎶. I enjoy sharing ideas with the community and growing together.”
📝 Step 6: Add Your Location (Optional)
You can put Abia State, Nigeria or just Nigeria.
This helps people know where you’re from.
📝 Step 7: Save Changes
Scroll down and click Update Profile.
Congratulations 🎉 your Hive profile is now set up
