The Semux MainNet was launched, as scheduled, on Saturday 20th of January 2018 - and it launched perfectly!
The first 5000 blocks are already forged - and it is going on very smooth!
in order to join the MainNet, you have to upgrade your Semux-Wallet to the latest version (
v1.0.0) ! Get it on GitHub.
Simply run it and import a previously saved wallet.data file. Or copy your wallet.data from your RC5 installation directory into the new installation directory!
It is not recommended to install it in the same directory at all! You might come up with errors (most of them should be fixable by simply deleting the database - directory, as the new chain has to sync from 0 again)
All addresses were migrated from RC-Network to the MainNet - so, if you had some Semux, you still have!
There are still no exchanges for Semux - though there are negotiations and rumors. The only way to buy SEM is through OTC trades! Beware of scammers and always use an escrow - Service!
Once you have some SEM in your wallet, you can vote for a delegate or validator. Voting for pools is recommended - there is almost nothing to do to grow your wealth here. Simply vote, but look out, to vote the right one!
