Marzo ed Aprile sono i mesi più importanti in apicoltura, in questi giorni è possibile organizzare le famiglie per il raccolto imminente, e fare sciami per aumentare la propria quantità di api.
Quindi è stato necessario controllare tutte le famiglie, lo stato delle regine, e se fossero pronte a sciamare così da poter intervenire in tempo.

Anche la situazione dei primi melari sembrava ottima, le prime fioriture primaverile hanno dato un grande sprint alle famiglie, che sono riuscite già nelle prime giornate di aprile a salire nel melario.
Durante i giorni precedenti ho preparato diversi sciami da espandere, ma erano collocati in alcuni posta sciami in polistirolo bianco.
Le nostre amiche api hanno un'ottimo senso dell'orientamento, infatti riescono tramite il sole e altri sistemi a geolocalizzare la propria casa e farvi ritorno ogni volta. Il problema però dell'apicoltura intensiva, è che vede molte famiglie ravvicinate l'un l'altra e questo molto spesso può portare a fenomeni di deriva, ecco perché ho pensato di disegnare i vari port sciami con alcune piccoli disegni, in questo modo le api sapranno sempre riconoscere la propria casa. ( si lo so può sembrare assurdo ma è realmente cosi!)

La situazione generale delle famiglie era ottima, ho trovato solo due di esse con qualche problemino, ma nulla che in qualche giorno non si risolva.
Anche i melari sembrano a buon punto, ma c'è da tenere in considerazione l'arrivo dell'acacia, e se le api non saranno in grado di riempire questi, dovrò sostituirli con degli altri nuovi, in tal modo il miele d'accia non verrà contaminato con il millerfiori.
