This summer was also filled with hospital checkouts and, in the end, a surgery for me... Luckily, the health system in Spain is a bit better, and I didn't have to pay anything... I mean, I did pay through different taxes, but no direct payments for the treatment... On the other hand, medications could be pretty expensive, and that's not covered with any health plan...

In my opinion, there is enough money from taxes to finance decent healthcare in any country! It's super-easy to do it... Less corruption, fewer politicians and bureaucracy, and there will be enough money... Unfortunately, that will probably not happen soon... :(
