It's hard to say yes or no as I need more info to make that decision...

• Is 45K the TOTAL amount for the event?

• I suppose HF will have tickets as in previous years, and if I remember well, they were around 300-400USD? So, with 50 attendees, we would cover half of the budget?

• What are realistic (money) numbers of potential sponsorships?

I don't want to preach how to organize the event, but maybe there is a possibility to do it without the DHF funding? Actually, that would be a perfect example of the self-sustainability of such an event and project... A great showcase that something like that is possible and a role model for all other projects on HIVE...
